This reticle design completely removes the top portion of the 68 MOA ring and replaces the bottom portion with an easy to find chevron. This was done to address the point-of-aim/point-of-impact shift that arises when shooters engage close range targets with an optic that is zeroed at a distance. With the top of the ring removed and the bottom replaced with a chevron, operators can zero a 5.56 rifle at 50 yards, and the DCR will provide three reliable aiming points at 200 yards and use the chevron to engage targets at ranges as close as 7 yards.
